How much does it cost?

Upward Bound is free to all participants. Trips, food, and admission to events are provided by Upward Bound. On top of that, students can earn stipends through participating in activities and meeting objectives throughout the year.

What are the benefits?

The Upward Bound TRiO program is highly beneficial to individual students as it provides them with academic support, personal development, and college readiness skills. This program is designed to assist low-income and potential first-generation college students in their academic pursuits, by offering tutoring, mentoring, and academic advising. Moreover, the program offers workshops and seminars that enhance students' skills in areas such as time management, study skills, financial literacy, and career exploration. By participating in the Upward Bound TRiO program, students can increase their academic achievement, develop confidence, and prepare for a successful transition to college, leading to increased opportunities for higher education and future success.

How long does the Upward Bound program last?

Typically four years, starting in the student's freshman year of high school and continuing through their senior year.
